The system presented ranked recommendations with supporting rationale. Dispatchers retained full override capability, and the system logged overrides to help calibrate future recommendations.
The Outcomes
Decision time per allocation cycle reduced meaningfully. More significantly, consistency across shifts improved — the performance gap between experienced and newer dispatchers narrowed as the system provided a common reference point. Override rates stabilised at around 18%, indicating the recommendations were generally trusted but not blindly followed.
